We all participate in Volley for Cancer for our own reasons…the truth is that cancer has likely affected all of us personally, whether directly or indirectly. This Event is a wonderful showcase of how a community can come together in support of each other. To celebrate everyone’s efforts, the organizers have decided that Volley for Cancer needed a signature focus – and so in 2006, new life was brought to the balloon release. At 4pm each year we will gather to commemorate the memory of our loved ones fallen victim, and to celebrate and support the survivors and their families.

Believe BalloonsWe believe that one hand can change a life; a community of hands can change all odds. We believe that every effort truly makes a difference and during this event we have friends and family with us that are proof that if you believe it, you can do it!!!

In memory of the inspiration for the event, Goldie Van Allen, event founders Carl and Ruby Van Allen will release the first balloon at the emotional ceremony!
